Procurement Policy
We will conduct fair, transparent, and appropriate transactions and contribute to the creation of a sustainable society together with our business partners with whom we build our value chain, by giving due consideration to our social responsibilities including those for human rights, labor practices, and the environment.
1. Fair and Transparent Transactions
- We will select suppliers based on a comprehensive evaluation of their technological capacities, proposal-making abilities,initiatives to achieve a sustainable society, and other aspects, including quality, cost, delivery time, and stable supply.
- We will open our doors to a wide range of procurement sources at home and abroad and provide fair and equitable entry opportunities to both domestic and overseas suppliers.
- We will have discussions with suppliers about any fluctuations in raw material costs, processing costs, and expenses to deal with them in a sincere manner and carry out transactions at a fair price.
2. Compliance with Laws, Regulations, and Societal Norms
- We will comply not only with laws, regulations, and societal norms, but also the “House Foods Group Action Guidelines” and the “Group CSR Policy.”
3. Quality First
- In accordance with the “House Foods Group Policy on Quality,” we will implement procurement activities ensuring quality first and optimal cost balance, to provide products that are of value to customers, safe, and reliable.
4. Building Trust with Business Partners
- We will build collaborative relationships with our business partners to improve quality, pricing, and supply by leveraging the ingenuity of both sides.
- We will appropriately manage personal and confidential information provided by our business partners and do not disclose such information internally or externally without their consent.
5. Environmental Considerations
- In accordance with the House Foods Group’s “Environment Policy,” we will promote procurement activities in a manner friendly to the global environment, by giving due consideration to the environment, preventing pollution, and striving for green procurement.
6. Human Rights Considerations
- In accordance with the House Foods Group’s “Human Rights Policy,” we promote procurement activities that respect basic human rights and give due consideration to the working environment as well as to health and safety.
7. Coexistence with Society and Local Communities
- We will coexist with local communities and contribute to the creation of a sustainable society together with our business partners.
